Words, my beloved
I have been reading, writing, and walking most days. I am reading a mix of stuff, Stephen King, the Kentucky Highway Code, a 'Romantasy' and a bit of high fantasy.
I've been writing fanfic, and loving it. It's all pretty messed-up, in a sort of pulp-inspired, funny way.
In my spare time I read about the lives of famous writers--Roald Dahl, and his writing shed, Murakami and his marathon running and morning writing, and I think how much I would love to live my life like that.
I wrote (and self-published) a novel once. It was terrible. I like to think I am better at writing now, but who can tell?
I would like to be a Real Writer, but the chances of having a best-seller are somewhat worse than winning the lottery. And writing a book is Very Hard.
