First week
We have almost completed our first week in the USA.
Good things:
- The yoga studio is a 15-minute walk and it is SO nice. I have done two yoga classes (now I am sore) and I have another one booked for Friday
- There's this really cool book store also a short walk from me.
- Cherries are really cheap. I am going to eat so many cherries.
- I am making cornbread today! Hooray!
- I went to a football (soccer) game at the weekend. Somehow, I survived 41 years in the UK without attending a match, and I ended up at one in my first week in the USA? However, despite my utter lack of interest in sport, it was actually fun. There were fireworks. I would go again.
- I got my full house deposit back, which covers income for this month and means I can buy a lot of cherries.
Hmm things:
- I had a migraine on Monday, and my sleep has been all kind of whack. Struggling to fall asleep and then dragging through the days (sometimes napping, which is bad, because it just makes the cycle continue)
- The house is a Project. We cleaned under the sink yesterday, which included throwing out exploded aerosols of cleaning chemicals. Yuck. There is a lot to do, and living in the middle of it is a little overwhelming.
